With the recent changes at the state level for COVID-19 phases and guidelines, Ephrata High School Athletics will join the 29 member North Central Region (NCR) for the remainder of the 2021 school year. This move will help give the Tigers the best opportunities for interscholastic contests this school year, as all schools in the NCR will be at the same “phase” of the “Roadmap to Recovery” plan that was released last week by the Governor’s Office.
Ephrata (2A) will play a variety of familiar foes in the NCR, including teams from the Columbia Basin Big 9 Conference (4A), Caribou Trail League (1A), SCAC (1A), and more. EHS will continue to be a member of the Central Washington Athletic Conference (CWAC), with plans to return to CWAC league competition in the fall. The Ephrata School Board will vote to officially approve this change at the January 25th meeting.
